Organization Account Roles

The four organization roles, Admin, Editor, Writer, and Moderator, and what each can reach in comment moderation, questions, feeds, members, and settings.

Organization Role Structure

1. Admin

  • Permissions:

    • Full access to all enterprise features (e.g., Comment Moderation, Questions, Feeds, Members, and Settings dashboards).

    • Invite new users and assign roles.

      • Invites can be constrained to the same email domain name(s).

    • Delete user accounts.

  • Intended Users: Top-level executives or technical leads managing the organization.

2. Editor

  • Permissions:

    • Access to the Organization (left) navigation, including:

      • Comment Moderation dashboard

      • Questions table

      • Feeds (polls page & featured poll embeds)

    • No access to Members or Settings

  • Intended Users: Team members overseeing content and engagement.

3. Writer

  • Permissions:

    • Create and manage questions.

    • Access to single embed code (e.g., copy-paste embed code).

    • Limited access to:

      • Organization (left) navigation - only allow access to the SquareOffs table.

      • No access to the Comment Moderation Dashboard, Feeds, Member Management, or Settings

  • Intended Users: Writers and content creators.

4. Moderator

  • Permissions:

    • Access to the Comment Moderation Dashboard only in the Organization (left) navigation.

    • Limited access to:

      • Enterprise (left) navigation, including no access to SquareOffs, Feeds, Members, or Settings.

    • No ability to create a SquareOff (“Create” icon is hidden).

    • No ability to edit or delete existing SquareOffs (this ability is hidden).

  • Intended Users: Community managers or support teams focused on moderation.
