At SquareOffs, we believe that online conversations should be much like those offline. Would you make the same comment in a public circle, stadium, or at the dinner table? Bullying is not accepted at SquareOffs, so don't be a jerk. If you’re being disrespectful to others, you will be removed from the conversation. We’d prefer you stay though.
SquareOffs Community Rules
We're glad you're here and want to make sure our community remains a positive, engaging, and respectful place for everyone. To help keep our community safe and enjoyable, please take a moment to read and follow these Community Rules.
1. Be Respectful
Treat everyone with respect. Disagreements are fine, but personal attacks, harassment, or hate speech will not be tolerated.
Avoid comments that are derogatory, discriminatory, ,inflammatory, or sexually explicit. This includes language targeting race, gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability.
2. Keep It On Topic
Our discussions are centered around the questions and topics posted. Keep comments relevant to the topic at hand, and avoid spam or unrelated content.
Refrain from derailing conversations or posting irrelevant links, promotions, or advertisements.
3. No Harassment or Bullying
We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or bullying of any kind. If you disagree with someone, express your opinions respectfully.
Repeated, unwanted contact, or attempts to intimidate others will lead to removal from the platform.
4. Keep It Legal
Don’t post anything illegal or encourage others to break the law. This includes copyrighted material without permission, illegal activities, and explicit content.
Avoid spreading misinformation or making defamatory comments that could harm others or mislead the community.
5. No Spam or Self-Promotion
Avoid excessive posting, spamming, or promoting products, services, or events. If you'd like to promote a relevant idea, product, or service, contact us to discuss partnership opportunities.
Repetitive comments or posts intended solely for promotion will be removed.
6. Protect Privacy – Yours and Others'
We recommend that you not share personal information about yourself or others. This includes phone numbers, addresses, or any other private data.
Respect others’ privacy, and do not post or encourage others to reveal private information.
7. Be Mindful of Language
Use language that promotes a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members.
8. Report Violations
If you notice any content or behavior that violates these rules, please report it to our team using the chat bubble to the bottom right of your screen or reach us at [email protected]. We rely on our community to help keep this space safe and enjoyable.
9. Follow Moderator Directions
Our moderators are here to enforce these guidelines and make sure everyone has a positive experience. Please respect their directions and decisions.
Consequences for Violations:
Failure to follow these rules may result in your comments being removed, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from SquareOffs. Serious or repeated violations will lead to an immediate ban. We also may notify law enforcement when we believe there is a genuine risk of physical harm or a direct threat to public safety.
